Wanted drug importer Simon Dutton arrested near Benidorm Spain during first day of NCA fugitive campaign

A WANTED man on the new fugitives campaign launched by the National Crime Agency (NCA) and partners has been arrested in Spain.

Following an investigation led by the Guardia Civil, Simon Dutton, 49, has been arrested today 14 May 2026 in La Nucia, near Benidorm. 

Dutton, who was one of 12 fugitives featured in the NCA's most wanted fugitive campaign launched today, is now in custody in Spain.

Dutton is wanted for a re-call to prison. He was sentenced for organising large-scale importations of cocaine and money laundering, with one interception being valued at £1.5 million. Dutton has the name ‘Rachel’ tattooed on his left arm and has scars on his chin, left hand and right leg.
