Vehicle stolen in Sandy, Bedfordshire, found in Harlow after police helicopter search - no arrests
CAR thieves escaped capture after abandonning the vehicle following a search by a police helicopter.
The vehicle was recovered by police in Harlow, Essex, after being taken during a burglary about 40 miles away in Sandy, Bedfordshire.
Residents reported the chopper hovering over Harlow for several minutes at about 11.50pm on Monday, March 21, as revealed by our sister Twitter feed @Newsaddictclub that evening.
A Bedfordshire Police spokeswoman said: "Officers were made aware of burglary in Sandy, on Monday evening.
"One vehicle was stolen, however it was later recovered by Essex Police in Harlow.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
