US woman wanted in Alabama on suspicion of wire fraud arrested after being found living in Wembley

A US WOMAN wanted on suspicion of wire fraud has been arrested after being found living in Wembley.

Brandy Ann Scott, 41, (above) was arrested on an international arrest warrant from the US and is now facing extradition.

In July 2020 Crime Stoppers in the US began running appeals for her whereabouts in the Trussville area of Alabama where she had lived in Overlook Drive.

The appeal said she was wanted on felony warrants charging her with theft of property 1st degree and two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.

She was arrested in the UK two months later after she had been living in The Crescent, Wembley, north-west London.

The international arrest warrant states she is wanted for ten counts of wire fraud.

She was initially released on conditional bail, but was remanded into custody after breaching bail conditions.

Scott is contesting extradition and her case came in for mention at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

The case was adjourned until next month.
