US Rapper Chris Brown charged in UK with GBH over alleged attack in London two years ago

US Rapper Chris Brown has been charged with GBH with intent following his arrest in Manchester......

A Met Police statement said: "A man has been charged following an investigation by detectives in the Metropolitan Police Service.

"Chris Brown, 36, who is a US National, was charged on Thursday, 15 May with grievous bodily harm with intent.

"He remains in custody and will appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court at 10am on Friday, 16 May.

"The charge relates to an assault, which reportedly took place at a venue in Hanover Square in London, on Sunday, 19 February 2023."

The alleged attack happened while Brown was in the UK on a worldwide tour.

He was arrested at just after 2am today (May 15) at the five-star Lowry Hotel in Manchester over an alleged bottle attack on music producer Abe Diaw at trendy Tape nightclub in Mayfair, Central London, in February 2023.

Brown had flown into Manchester Airport on a private jet yesterday afternoon.

He is due to perform ten dates across the UK next month.
