Two teenagers charged after police woman stabbed in stomach dealing with attempted robbery


TWO teenagers appeared in court today following the stabbing of a female police officer in Westminster on Sunday. 

It comes after the woman was stabbed in the stomach and a male colleague was assaulted after an attempted robbery at Pimlico Grocery (above - Google maps) in Chapter Street, Westminster, central London yesterday.

The 15-year-old males appeared at Highbury Corner Youth Court today (Monday, October 5).

A 15-year-old from Barking, east London, was charged with Inflicting GBH against a police officer; assault by beating of an emergency worker (the male officer); attempted robbery; threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in a public place; assault by beating and criminal damage.

A 15 year-old from Hampshire, was charged with assault by beating of an emergency worker (the male officer); attempted robbery; threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in a public place; assault by beating and criminal damage. A Met Police spokesman said: "On Sunday, October 4 at approximately 3.42pm, two police officers (one male, and one female) challenged two males in Chapter Street following an attempted robbery of a grocery store. "During the incident, the female officer received a stab wound to the abdomen. "The males were later arrested and charged as above. "The officer was taken to hospital, but later discharged."
