SOFT JUSTICE: Man who nicked £269 booze from Tesco has to pay less in fines and costs


A MAN who stole seven bottles of booze worth £269 from a Tesco has had to pay less in fines and costs after pleading guilty.

Martin McDonagh, 44, admitted stealing the bottles from the Tesco Express in Sentinel Square Shopping Centre, Hendon, north-west London, after entering part of the building as a trespasser on May 14 this year.

McDonagh, from Westhorpe, Hendon, north-west London, appeared at Willesden Magistrates' Court today when he admitted the offence. He was fined £80, with £80 costs and a £34 victim surcharge, totalling £194.
