RUSSELL Brand has been charged with further sexual offences against women.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised two new charges, one of rape and one of sexual assault, against Brand, 50, with an address in Oxfordshire.
These new charges are in relation to two further women and are in addition to the charges issued to Brand in April 2025 which involved four women.
Then he was charged with two counts of rape, one count of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault.
Met Police detectives began investigating in September 2023 after receiving a number of allegations, which followed reporting by Channel 4’s Dispatches and The Sunday Times.
It was alleged that:
In 1999 a woman was raped in the Bournemouth area
In 2001 a woman was indecently assaulted in the Westminster area of London
In 2004 a woman was orally raped and sexually assaulted in the Westminster area of London
Between 2004 and 2005, a woman was sexually assaulted in the Westminster area of London
Detective Chief Inspector Tariq Farooqi from the Metropolitan Police who is leading the investigation said: “The women who have made reports, including those connected to the two new charges, continue to receive support from specially trained officers.
“The Met’s investigation remains ongoing, and detectives urge anyone affected by this case, or anyone with information, to come forward and speak with police. A dedicated team of investigators can be reached via email at CIT@met.police.uk.
“Support is also available through the independent charity Rape Crisis by contacting the 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line.”
Brand will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 20 January 2026 in relation to these two additional charges.
A trial is scheduled to begin at Southwark Crown Court on 16 June 2026 in relation to the five original charges.
Brand, who is a born again Christian, vehemently denies all of the allegations and a video message regarding this is pinned on his X account.
He added a post today which said: "Merry Christmas brothers and sisters. Accept all things, even trials as gifts from God. Jesus is real."
