Police are growing increasingly concerned about two missing girls who have not been seen for several days.

Essex Police has launched an appeal to trace Kelsey McVicar (above right), from Clacton, who has not been seen since August 3.

She is about 5ft 6ins in height and was last seen wearing a black jacket, with black shorts and Adidas trainers, and a black backpack.

She could also be in the Barking or Dagenham area of London.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We’re worried about her and need to find her to make sure she’s okay."

If you’ve seen her or have any information as to her whereabouts, call 101 quoting incident 285 of August 3.

In an unconnected appeal Met Police officers are seeking information to help find a missing 15-year-old girl named only as Alexis, who also goes by Lexi (above left).

It is believed to have travelled to London from Northampton at 10:30pm on Friday, 15 August.

Since then she is thought to have visited Leicester Square and Marble Arch – as well as Heathrow and the surrounding area. Her last known location was Tottenham Court Road on Saturday, 23 August.

Alexis is said to 5ft of slim build, with long, dark hair.

Detective Inspector Rory Wilkinson, from the Met’s missing persons unit, said: “We, and Alexis' family, are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

“Take a close look at the photo we are issuing today and if you recognise her, or have any information, contact us as a matter of urgency 101, quoting 1213/20AUG. If you see her, please dial 999 immediately and reference the same number.”
