Police and firefighters probe cause of High Road fire in South Woodford

POLICE spent several hours at the scene of a shop blaze after it was seriously damaged.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled the fire at a shop with dwellings above on High Road in South Woodford.
Most of the first floor and part of the second floor of the four storey building were damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 12:47pm on Sunday, August 31 and Control Officers mobilised firefighters from Woodford, Leytonstone, Walthamstow and Leyton fire stations to the scene. The incident was over at 2:37pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A police car was parked outside Kindred Tattoo and CC Nail Beauty in the high road for about nine hours after the fire.
A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 3:10pmhrs on Sunday, following reports of a fire in a private property on the High Road in South Woodford.
"No injuries were reported and no arrests have as yet been made.
"Officers are working with London Fire Brigade to establish the cause of the fire. Enquiries are ongoing.
"Please call police on 101 with the reference 3990/31AUG if you have any information which might help."
