RUSSELL Brand said he had no further comment to make after being accused of anal rape in newly released police interviews from July 2025.
In a filmed JUly 2025 interview Met Police detectives put it to Brand that one victim said he removed his condom and anally paped her during a previously consensual sex session at his home, before telling her to clean up the mess, then being told to leave bu his driver.
Asked what he had to say about her account, Brand replied stony faced: "I have nothing further to add at this time."
He was spoken to about three alleged sex offences during the interview and when asked for anything he wished to say, he added: "I have nothing further to say. No thank you."
Brand was investigated by the Met Police in the wake of a joint investigation by The Times, Sunday Times and Channel 4's Dispatches programme who jointly reported that four women had accused him of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse.
Brand vehemently denied any wrongdoing in a rebuttal video posted on social media and none of the women featured in the investigation were involved in the prosecution.
However, after it was broadcast in September 2023 other women did come forward leading to a series of video interviews that have now been released by the force.
Brand said he could not remember any of the alleged victims, but conceded it was possible he may have interacted with them in the past, but any sexual contact would have been consensual.
Brand also said his defence had been asking for more information about the allegations, and that once he had made a prepared statement he would answer no further questions, but may possibly do so after a break or at a later stage when more was known about the allegations.
Today, November 5 2026, he was found guilty of four sexual offences following a major Metropolitan Police investigation. Detectives gathered evidence from more than 100 witnesses and reviewed thousands of documents as part of the investigation.
Officers praised the women who reported Brand for their courage, resilience and determination, while encouraging any other potential victims who have not yet spoken to police to come forward.
After a four-week trial at Southwark Crown Court, a jury unanimously found Russell Brand, 51 (04.06.75), of Oxfordshire, guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
The rape was of a woman at his then home in 2009.
He had met her at the Hammersmith Apollo theatre where the comedian was performing.
She later visited his home in Hampstead where they had consensual sex before he anally raped her.
He was also found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman at a bar in Soho in 2004.
They were talking for less than a minute when he grabbed her breasts.
He was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman at the studios of Choice FM studios in London in 2004 or 2005, where he grabbed her face and kissed her before feeling her breasts and bottom.
The last sexual assault charge he was found guilty of was while working on a Channel 4 project in 2009.
He laid his head in her groin area without warning with his mouth and nose in her vaginal area.
He will be sentenced at the same court on Monday, 9 November.
