MURDER PROBE: Two men arrested after woman's body is found in country lane

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found in a country lane.

The body was found by a dog walker in Hopwood, Worcestershire, on Friday morning. West Mercia Police later detained a 30-year-old man on suspicion of murder and another man, 52, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Detective Chief Inspector Gerry Smith said: “The woman had no identification on her and we have carried out urgent enquiries to find out who she is. We now believe we have identified her and are working quickly to make contact with her family. “At this stage it is far too early to speculate as to what has happened but it’s important to say that we do not believe there to be any risk to the local or wider community."
