MURDER CITY: Man charged after another man is stabbed to death in Soho

A MAN has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Westminster.

Li Hunan, 60, of Woodfield Gardens, New Malden is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday, 17 August) charged with murder.

At 11:40 am on Monday, 15 August police were called to reports of a stabbing in a Vietnamese restaurant in Poland Street, W1.

Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

A 58-year-old man, believed to be a chef there, was found with stab wounds. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services he was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:20hrs.

He has been named as Li Sung who lived in Southwark.

His next of kin have been informed.

Enquiries into the circumstances continue, led by detectives from Specialist Crime.
