Met Police detective caught with highly addictive class A drug crystal meth


A MET Police detective has been convicted of possession of the highly addictive class A drug crystal meth.

DC Dino Atkins-Tyler appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded guilty to possession of a class A drug.

He was sentenced to a conditional discharge for three months and had to pay a victim surcharge of £116.

The court heard that officers from Kent Police searched his home on September 30 when the drug was found alongside a burnt pipe.

DC Atkins-Tyler now faces a professional misconduct hearing in central London on March 7, when he could be dismissed from the force.
