EXCLUSIVE: Met Police car collides with vehicle while responding to emergency in Wards Road Ilford

A MET Police car was in collision with another vehicle while it responded to an emergency.

Our exclusive footage, first revealed by our sister TikTok account Newsjunkie3 (@newsaddictclun) shows a large emergency services response, including police and firefighters, in Wards Road, Ilford, near the junction with Stainforth Road.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "On Monday, 6 July at around 5:25pm, officers responding to an emergency call were involved in a collision with another vehicle on Wards Road, Ilford.

"The London Ambulance Service attended and provided treatment to the drivers of both vehicles. Their injuries are not deemed to be life-threatening nor life-changing.  

"Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone with information that may assist police is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 6356/06JUL."

The force said, because the injuries were not serious, the crash did not need to be reported to its professional standards department or the Independent Office of Police Conduct.
