Met PC resigned after being caught in possession of ecstasy on day out at Thorpe Park
A MET police officer resigned from the force two months after being caught in possession of the drug ecstasy.
Former PC Wayne Dalphinis, who was based in the east London area, was searched while he was off duty at Thorpe Park amusement park and found in possession of the class A drug MDMA on July 3 this year.
A Met Police public notice about a misconduct hearing due to take place today (December 22) said: "PC Dalphinis was issued with and accepted a Community Resolution in relation to his actions.
"At the material time, PC Dalphinis was a serving officer with the Metropolitan Police. He resigned, and ceased to be an officer as of 2nd September 2021."
At the misconduct hearing he will answer allegations that his conduct amounts to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of discreditable conduct.
As he has resigned, the outcome will say what action would have been taken had he remained with the force.
