Manhunt underway after man stabbed in park - attacker still at large

A MANHUNT is underway after a man was stabbed in a park in Southampton.

Hampshire Police officers are investigating a serious assault which occurred in East Park on Sunday afternoon, December 7 2025.

A force spokesperson said: "We were called just before 4.15pm to a report of a 33-year-old man who had suffered stab injuries to the rear of his leg.

"He was taken to hospital, where he was found to also have a broken leg. None of his injuries are thought to be life-threatening at this time.

"While officers began enquiries a scene was put in place, this cordon has now been reduced in size but our teams remain in the area this morning.

"While no arrests have been made at this time, we are working to trace the movements of any of those involved and do not believe there to be a wider threat to the community, with this being an isolated incident.

"Officers will be in the area, with patrols in place in and around the park in the coming days and if you do have any concerns then please do not hesitate to speak with any of our teams."
