Manhunt for killer of Sanchini Thompson in Lewisham leads to arrest of man in Scotland

A SUSPECT has been held in Scotland following a manhunt after the murder of Sanchini Thompson in Lewisham last week.
The man, who stated his age as 33, was arrested yesterday evening, Tuesday, 21 October, and was transferred to custody in London today.
Sanchini , 27, (above) was fatally stabbed on Wednesday, 15 October. Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Rushey Green, Lewisham at 3:06am. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, who treated Sanchini for stab wounds. Despite their best efforts, he sadly later died in hospital.
Detective Chief Inspector Rebecca Woodsford, leading the investigation, said: “Our dedicated team of detectives have worked tirelessly to locate and arrest this suspect. The work doesn’t stop here. We will continue to piece together the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Sanchini as we strive to secure justice for him and his loved ones.”
