Man feared to have 'life changing' injuries after latest London stabbing

A man was stabbed outside a primary school yesterday in the capital's latest stabbing.

Police were called at 1:05om on Monday, 24 February, 2025, following reports of the stabbing in Oldhill Street, Stoke Newington, Hackney.

A Mat Police spokesperson said: "Officers attended the scene outside a primary school on Oldhill Street, Stoke Newington, and requested the assistance of London Ambulance Service.

"One man, aged 54, suffered stab wounds, which are said to be not life-threatening, but possibly life-changing.

"He was taken to hospital for treatment.

"One man, aged 49, has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

"Officers have confirmed no pupils from the school were involved or injured in the incident."
