Man critically injured and woman injured after both shot in the street in Dagenham
A MAN and woman were shot in an east London street in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, October 6).
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following the shooting on Reede Road in Dagenham at about 4am.
Police were called shortly after 04:00hrs on Tuesday, 6 October to reports of gunshots heard.
Officers, including firearms officers, attended.
A man and a woman were found injured.
The 39-year-old man suffered a gunshot injury. He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
The 32-year-old woman was also taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
Trident detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating and are working closely with their colleagues on the East Area Borough Command Unit.
They would like to speak with anyone who has information regarding the shooting or who saw anything suspicious.
A crime scene remains in place. There will be an enhanced police presence in the area.
At this early stage, there have been no arrests.
