Man caught stealing goods from Wanstead Boots on Saturday admits offences in court

A MAN who was caught stealing goods from Boots in Wanstead High Street has admitted the offences.
Ibrahim Mir, 27, of Drysdale Avenue, Chingford, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 25 August 2025, and pleaded guilty to theft, handling stolen goods, three counts of burglary and possession of a Class B drug.
He also pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and fraudulently using a registration mark.
Mir, who has previous convictions for driving offences and trying to steal £227 worth of wine from a Coop store, was remanded in custody awaiting sentencing.
Police were called at 3.48pm on Saturday, 23 August to reports of items being stolen from the pharmacist on Wanstead High Street.
Mir, who has previously lived at Richmond Road, Leytonstone, was arrested at the scene and later charged with the offences.
