Man and woman treated for head injuries after attack on tube and outside Newbury Park station

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man and woman were left with head injuries outside a tube station after they were attacked twice.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called at around 11.50pm on Sunday 24 August after a man and woman were assaulted on a central line train and then at Newbury Park London Underground station."

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.47pm on 24 August to reports of an assault outside Newbury Park Underground station in Eastern Avenue.

“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene.

“We treated a man and a woman at the scene for head injuries and took both patients to hospital.”
