Major police response at Milton Keynes shopping centre - unconfirmed reports of stabbing

POLICE have been dealing with a major incident at a shopping centre in Milton Keynes.
Thames Valley Police has been dealing with what is believed to be a serious assault at MK shopping Centre with unconfirmed reports of a security guard being stabbed in the neck.
Armed police were filmed by local outlet DJE Media in the car park with several vehicles on blue lights.
There are unconfirmed reports of shoppers having to be evacuated from the centre.
Police said a suspect had been arrested.
Posts on Facebook in the last hour have suggested the victim has died with a first name being released, but police have not confirmed this.
A force statement said: "Officers are currently on scene at Centre MK following reports of a serious assault.
"Thames Valley Police Milton Keynes understand this may be concerning, but please be reassured that they have arrested the suspected offender.
"A scene will remain in place while officers carry out enquiries and if you have any concerns, please speak with officers in the area.
"If you witnessed the incident or have any information or mobile footage, please call 101 quoting INC 20260228 1537, or report it through our website.
"We will provide more information when we can."

Video taken by eyewitnesses showed several police vehicles and emergency vehicles on the scene.
On witness posted on Facebook: "There has been an incident at the city centre in Milton Keynes today.
"The police have cordoned off the middle part of the shopping centre as from what other people have said, a security guard has been stabbed.
"There were at least 18 police vehicles and a few ambulance vehicles. They apparently did arrest one person."
