JUST ANOTHER MURDER: Man stabbed to death in Ilford street is capital's latest knife victim


THE Met Police has launched yet another murder probe after a man found stabbed in an Ilford street was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were called at 9.28pm on Friday, October 9 to reports of an assault on Southdown Crescent in Ilford, east London.

A Met Police spokesman said: "Officers attended and found a man, believed aged in his 30s, suffering from a stab injury.

"They immediately provided first aid. Despite their efforts, and that of the London Ambulance Service, the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 10.31pm."

"Officers are in the process of informing next of kin. Formal identification awaits. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course. A crime scene remains in place. Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command investigate.

"At this early stage, there have been no arrests and enquiries into the circumstances continue."
