JUST ANOTHER MURDER: Man, 20, stabbed to death in Stockwell is London's latest victim
The MET Police has launched another murder probe after a man was stabbed to death in Stockwell today.
Officers were called by the London Ambulance Service at approximately 2.50pm on Tuesday, September 15, to Stockwell Road, Stockwell, after the man was found with stab injuries.
A Met Police spokesman said: "Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
"His next of kin has been informed.
"At this very early stage there have been no arrests.
"A crime scene is in place and an investigation is underway."
Police have authorised a section 60 notice for the SW9 area.
It gives police greater powers to stop and search or move people on if violence or anti-social behaviour is expected.
The order came into force at 3.45pm and will remain in place until 6am on Wednesday, 16 September.
The spokesman added: "The aim of this is to help prevent further violence."
