Husband charged with murder after wife stabbed to death in home

A MAN has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in east London.

Gas fitter Augustinas Druskis, 43 (07.09.1982) of Cranham Road, Hornchurch will appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court later today, Monday, 20 October 2025.

The charge relates to the death of a 40-year-old woman at a property in Havering.

While formal identification has yet to take place, she has been named as Agne Druskienea.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service called officers to a stabbing at a residential property in Cranham Road, Hornchurch at 1:04am on Saturday, 18 October. Despite the best efforts of emergency workers, Agne was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Agne’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The man – who was married to the victim – was arrested at the scene.

Separately, a woman in her 30s was taken to hospital after being stabbed at a home in Greenwich.

Officers were called to reports of a domestic incident in Reminder Lane just after 5.20pm on October 18.

London Ambulance Service crews also attended and found a woman with stab wounds and head injuries.

She was taken to hospital where her condition was confirmed to be neither life-threatening or life-changing.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.
