Head of Wagner believed dead after 'he was on jet' which came down in Russia killing all 10 on board

WAGNER mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin (below) has been confirmed as dead after he was on the passenger list of a private jet which came down killing all on board, Russian state TV has said.

A video has also emerged purportedly showing the blazing plane coming down.

The plane, RA02795 owned by the Wagner Group, waaass flying from Moscow to St Petersburg, carrying six other passengers and three crew today.

According to reports local residents north of Moscow heard two bangs before the crash and saw two vapour trails.

The Tass news agency said the plane caught fire upon hitting the ground.

At least four bodies have reportedly already been found.

The aircraft had been in the air for less than half an hour, the agency said.

There is speculation Prigozhin may have been murdered after he led the failed military coup against the Russian armed forces two months ago.

It ended with a deal that saw Prigozhin supposed to go into excile in Belarus.

The Wagner-linked Telegram channel Grey Zone has already claimed the Embraer aircraft was shot down by Russian air defences in the Tver region, north of Moscow.

Prigozhin shared his first video address, believed to have been filmed in Africa, only this week (above).
