'Gangster' Dave Courtney made final phone call hours before death, inquest opening hears
Celebrity gangster Dave Courtney was heard making a phone call just hours before he was found dead with a gunshot wound to his head and had made earlier "failed" plans to take his own life, the opening of his inquest today heard.
It also took a specialist police search team three days to find the spent bullet casing, due to the scale of his home, which has outbuildings and underground areas with a nightclub, the court heard.
