Fugitive convicted sex offender wanted in Poland is arrested in the UK
A CONVICTED sex offender from Poland has been arrested in the UK,.
Albert Rezmer, 27, (above) from Stuart Avenue, Harrow, west London, was brought before Westminster Magistrates' Court today (November 25 2023) after being arrested by the Met Police on a European Arrest Warrant (EAW).
He is wanted in Poland to serve a conviction for sexual offences and fraud.
He was remanded into custody due to the "seriousness of offence" and the "lengthy sentence" he has to serve.
The court heard that the fugitive has only been in the in UK for a "short period".
He is opposing extradition and the case was adjourned until next month for a second bail application with a full hearing expected next year.
Also in the extradition court today was Agostinho Costa Seabra, 37, of an unknown address, who is wanted in Portugal on suspicion of attempted murder and assault.
His case was adjourned due to there being no interpreter.
A third case in the court today was that of Ionut Victor Lupescu, 41, (above) from Gosvenor Close, Great Sankey,
Warrington, Cheshire.
He is wanted in Romania on suspicion of theft.
He was released on conditional bail to return to the court in February.
He is under an electronically-monitored curfew between 10pm and 1am daily and must live and sleep at his home address.
He must not enter any international travel hub or apply for or possess any international travel documents
His passport and ID card has been surrendered and his mobile phone must be charged and switched on 24 hours a day.
