Four men arrested following police chase after car stolen in Southwark

FOUR men arrested after a police chase following the theft of a car have been bailed while the investigation continues.

At 12:13am on Monday, 1 September police pursued a group of male suspects on foot following the theft of a car in Southwark, south London.

The story was first broken here by our sister TikTok account NewsJunkie3 while officers were still on scene.

Officers located the car on Albany Road, Walworth, and arrested a man at the scene on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, dangerous driving and failing to stop.

Our exclusive images and video show the car crashed into a wall. It appeared to have been on false plates as there were two different numbers on the bonnet while police were still at the scene.

Three other men were arrested nearby on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "All four have now been bailed and enquiries are ongoing."
