A woman has been charged with murder after a 52-year-old man was found dead at an address in Elephant and Castle.
Joanna Cierpka, 51 (17.01.75) of Newington Causeway, Southwark was charged with murder on Monday, 16 March 2026.
She remains in police custody and will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday, 17 March.
Police were called at 2:28pm on Sunday, 15 March after concerns were raised about the welfare of the occupants of a residential property in Newington Causeway, SE1.
Officers attended the address and sadly found the body of a 52-year-old man. He has since been named as Henrik Slotsaa (above).
His Linkedin profile said he was a "senior Banker with a career of over 20 years across different aspects of banking, including loan administration and client relationship management," who worked for Citibank Europe Plc.
According to his Facebook profilehe was from Smørumnedre, Kobenhavn, Denmark and he was in a relationship with Cierpka, the profile added.
His next-of-kin has been informed and continue to be supported by specialist officers.
A Met spokesperson said: "A woman in her 50s was arrested at the scene and later charged. At this stage, officers believe that the two were known to each other."
