A FEMALE former Met Police officer has had her name withheld from misconduct proceedings after being accused of dishonestly obtaining money from a man and possession of drugs.

Referred to as Former PC A, in a public notice ahead of the hearing, it is alleged that between December 2022 and June 2023, that she "dishonestly obtained large sums of money from a male."

It is further alleged that on the 19 September 2023 she was in possession of a controlled Class A drug, namely cocaine.

The case is due to be heard tomorrow, 26 August 2025, from 9am.

The notice said that the former officer, previously based in the force's South Area Command Unit, will answer allegations that the alleged conduct amounted to a breach of the standards of professional behaviour, in respect of discreditable conduct, amounting to "gross misconduct", and, if proven, it is so serious as to justify her dismissal had FPC A still been serving.

Most police officers facing misconduct proceedings are named, in the interest of transparency.

However, in certain circumstances, to protect the welfare of an officer or to hide the identity of a witness, panel chairs can anonymise them.
