EXCLUSIVE: Three injured after car chased by police crashed into another vehicle

Three people were injured after a car being pursued by police was involved in an accident with another vehicle.

The vehicle was tailed by Met Police officers who suspected it was "cloned" but it failed to stop so they gave chase.

Details of the crash were first broken by our sister TikTok feed NewsJunkie.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “On Sunday, 21 March at 11:20pm, officers noticed a suspected cloned vehicle on Ben Johnson Road, Tower Hamlets, east London.

"The vehicle failed to stop for officers, who then pursued the car.

"The pursuit concluded when the vehicle collided with another vehicle on the junction of Cotton Street and East India Dock Road.

"Three people in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

"Two men, aged 37 and 22, were arrested on suspicion of a number of driving and drug offences.

"Both men have been bailed and an investigation is ongoing.”
