EXCLUSIVE: Man wanted in Poland over alleged child sex offences facing extradition from UK

A man wanted in Poland in connection with child sex offences has been arrested in the UK.

Miroslaw Glowacki, 38, (pictured above in a Polish police wanted image) was found to be living at an address in Myddleton Road, Wood Green, north London, when he was arrested on a European Arrest Warrant last year.

Westminster Magistrates' Court heard he is wanted in connection with two offences of sexual assault on a child.

A wanted appeal on the Polish police website states that the alleged offences involved "causing a minor to engage in sexual intercourse or to submit to another sexual act or to perform such an act, abusing trust or giving him a material or personal benefit, or a promise thereof."

Glowacki does not consent to his extradition and is understood to deny the offences.

At a hearing on Tuesday, January 28 2025, he was further remanded into custody ahead of the next hearing next month.

The court refused bail due to the "nature and seriousness" of the alleged offence.
