EXCLUSIVE: Man charged with string of offences after woman stabbed in the hand
A MAN has been charged in connection with a serious assault in Gants Hill, in which a woman was stabbed.
Paul Rogers, 41, of Perth Road, Ilford, has been charged with the following offences attempted murder, intimidating a witness/juror, assault by beating, threatening a person with a bladed article and possession of cannabis.
The charges relate to a serious assault that took place at 7:51pm on Saturday, November 11 in Middleton Gardens, when a woman was stabbed in the hand.
Officers attended along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and a woman was taken to hospital with a stab wound to her hand. Her condition was assessed as non-life threatening.
She continues to be supported by specialist officers.
Rogers was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey in December.
On November 14, a 71-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, in connection with the case. He has been released on bail.
