EXCLUSIVE: Man accused of sex attack on Bermuda cruise ship arrested in UK

A MAN has been accused of a sex attack on a woman on a cruise ship in international waters.

Arvie Oporto, 36, a Filipino national, was arrested on an international arrest warrant from Bermuda in the Hampshire area and brought before Westminster Magistrates' extradition court on October 10 2025.

The warrant alleges that he sexually assaulted a woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, aboard a Bermuda ship, the Queen Anne (above), on August 13 this year.

It is understood that Oporto denies the allegation and is contesting extradition.

He was been granted legal aid by District judge John Zani, and the case was adjourned until later this month.
