A PAEDOPHILE who admitted a string of child sex offences, including being a key figure in two twisted online crime groups, is trying to get a reduced sentence by telling police he will report a man who "sexually abused him as a child."
Joao Teixeira, 25, (above) yesterday, December 10 2025, admitted 12 charges at Lewes Crown Court.
These included two counts each of being involved in an organised crime group and two of facilitating the sexual exploitation of children by being an administrator for sickening groups on Telegram whose sole focus was the sharing of child sex abuse material.
His guilty pleas came on the same day the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) warned of the continued growing threat of online child sex abuse.
The court heard that Teixeira, whose full name is Joao Carlos Jardim dos santos Teixeira, was an administrator of the two platforms called Sugar Heaven and Naughty Room 3.0 after being "voted" into the positions by other paedophile members.
His arrest followed an "intensive" investigation by the National Crime Agency (NCA) into the two groups that had gone to great lengthns to conceal their horrific activities which focussed entirley around the sharing of child sex abuse material.
He admitted three counts of making indecent photographs and videos of children, with 1,023 of them claased as the worst tyoe category A.
He also admitted three offences of distributing indecent umages of children between May 15 2023 and February 1 2024 when he was arrested.
One count he admitted was possession of a total of 13,703 prohibited images of children.
he also admitted inciting the sexual exploitation of a 13-year-old boy between June 14 and june 15 2023.

Prosecuting Rebecca Austin said a pre-sentencing report had been prpeared, but it was "problematic" because his defence was claiming the offedning was sparked by a "curiosity of child sexual exploitation caised by the sexual abuse that he had suffered as a child."
Judge Stephen Mooney (above) said this would have no baring on the sentence he receives for the two oddences of belonging to a crimianl organisation as they "offer no mitigation at all."
Defending Richard Boddy said: "(Other users) voted for him to be the administrator and he accepted that role."
He also said it was a "substantial mitigation" that his alleged sex abuser was "still alive" and that Teixeira was willing to make a report to police about the abuse he allegedly suffered at his hands.
Judge Mooney said he could not held from being cycnical about the fact that he was now prepared to do this at the point of his sentencing, but that he would not prevent him from doing this.
Mr Boddy said his client had previosuly made a report about the abuse in 2019.
Ms Austin added: "This was an investigation by the NCA, so he must go through the usual channels (to report it to police) rather than using this court as a conduit."
Judge Mooney told him: "You will be sentenced on Febryary 4 by me and you will receive a substantial prison sentence. the only question is how long and the type of sentence as there will be an issye of dangerousness."
The prosecution is also seeking a sexual harm prevention order for Teixeira.
