EXCLUSIVE: Arrests after man 'held against will' at property in Dagenham

TWO men were arrested after it was alleged a third man was being held against his will at a Dagenham property.

Police were called at 12:21pm on Thursday, 11 May after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man at a residential property in Bennetts Castle Lane, Dagenham, east London.

Officers attended and spoke with a man, aged in his 20s, who reported that he had been held against his will at the property. He was not injured and did not require hospital treatment.

Several police were seen parked in the area yesterday.

Two men, aged 67 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment. The 67-year-old man was subsequently released without further action.

The 30-year-old man was taken to an east London police station and has since been bailed to return on a date in mid-June.

The Met Police said "all parties were known to each other."
