Essex pensioner, 72, to face firearm and knife possession charges after search of two properties

A PENSIONER has been summonsed to court to face firearms charges.

Officers searched two properties in London Road, Copford, and Hugh Dickson Road in Colchester, in June 2019, resulting in the seizure of firearms and ammunition.

David Cole, 72, of London Road, Copford, will face two charges of possessing a self loading or pump action smooth-bore gun and one of possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place.

He is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on February 2 2021.
