Drama as air ambulance lands at busy Maldon Prom today

THE Essex & Herts Air Ambulance landed today (Sunday July 5 2026) at a busy Maldon Promenade.

The red and yellow helicopter was seen coming into land at just after 3pm as families were enjoying the sunshine.

Footage of it coming into land were posted on Facebook and can be seen here.

It landed in the south-eastern corner of Promenade Park.

According to unconfirmed reports from onlookers someone had fallen off equipment and twisted their leg.

The chopper was seen to take off and fly away from the park at 4:07pm.

The charity that runs the helicopter and the East of England Ambulance Service have been contacted for further details.
