EXCLUSIVE: Stalker who threatened at attack High Court judge with machete is jailed

THREATS: Andrew Mendel was jailed for contacting the judge

A STALKER who threatened to attack a High Court judge with a machete has been jailed for 26 weeks.

Andrew Mendel, 48, has had a grudge against Master Victoria McCloud, 49, after she ruled in favour of his ex-partner during a 2010 property dispute.

Westminster Magistrates Court heard this week he was placed under a restraining order never to contact her again at a previous hearing in July 2016.

The order was made after the former Southampton Solent University student told her he would turn up outside the court with a machete and called her a "crazy bi**h" amid claims her verdict cost him £100,000 and left him near bankrupt and homeless.

SENTENCE: The case was heard at Westminster Magistrates Court

In one email he wrote: "I'd like to know where to go from here please, apart from to the

Strand with a machete before someone is brutally murdered outside the gates."

However, the court heard that between February 1 and July 3 last year he broke the order by sending a new series of personally abusive emails to her at the Royal Courts of Justice about the 2010 proceedings.

Magistrates said he had to go to prison due to the length of time the abuse went on.

Mendel, from Bournemouth, had been remanded in custody when he admitted the offence and also had to pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Master McCloud was the youngest ever person to become a High Court master aged 40 in 2010.
