Met Police detective facing voyeurism and extreme pornography charge over film showing 'sex act on dog'

A MET Police detective has been charged with posessing extreme pornography involving a sex act with a dog.

Detective Sergeant Benjamin McNish of the East Area Command Unit, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 17.

He is charged with possessing on or before Monday, February 18 2019 extreme pornographic images contrary to s.63(1) Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008.

The charge states that the video showed "a person performing oral sex with a live animal, namely , a dog which was grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character and areasonable person looking at the image would think that any such person or animal was real."

He is also charged with voyeurism in that on Monday, February 18 2019 at Adelaide Road, in Swis Cottage, north London, he observed someone person doing a private act contrary to section 67(1) and (5) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

The officer was not on duty at the time of the alleged offences.

The arrest and charges follow an investigation by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards.
