Man and two teens charged over stabbing of man outside Harlow pub


A MAN and two teenage boys have been charged following an attempted robbery when another man was stabbed in his car outside a pub

Mario George, 27, (pictured above) of Barn Mead, Harlow, was arrested yesterday in connection with an attack outside the Poplar Kitten pub in Bush Fair, Harlow, on Friday February 7.

A man in his 30s was threatened by three people as he got into his car in Bush Fair at about 10.30pm.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "The men demanded the victim hand over his car key and when he refused and fought back, he was stabbed to the shoulder. The men then ran off."

George is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday, March 30.

A 15-year-old boy from Harlow has also been charged with attempted robbery and two counts of theft from motor vehicle relating to crimes committed between December 27 and 28 2019.

A 16-year-old boy also from Harlow has been charged with attempted robbery, possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place, wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent and committing actual bodily harm.

Both teenagers are due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrate's Court on Thursday, May 7.
